The CWU Eastern Region Health and Safety Forum is dedicated raise health and safety standards for our members in their workplaces and in general.

We aim to promote the benefits of good health and safety organisation and management in the communications industry and offer support through our Safety Representatives. This includes joint employer/safety representative consultation in order to promptly identify risks and appropriate remedial actions to address health and safety issues and workplace hazards.

Smoke Alarms at Home

Many people die each year because they have no Smoke Alarms in their home or their Smoke Alarm did not work. Many fire related deaths are caused by people being overcome by smoke and fumes, not just burns.
