Lifelong Learning Regional Project Worker: Neil Coleby

Hi, my name is Neil Coleby. I am the Lifelong Learning Regional Project Worker for the CWU Eastern Region. I work with Branches and ULRs in creating, promoting and sustaining the Union's Learning Agenda. Our Learning Agenda is very simple, we want to reach a position where every member who wants to has the opportunity to access whatever learning they want, when they want and where they want. More than this, wherever we can, we want it either to be free or as cheap as possible!

I am here to offer advice, guidance, contacts and help. Union Learning is flexible; there is no one size fits all! The important factor is what and how people want to learn, everything else is determined from that. This site will give you information on where your nearest Learning Centre is, who your Union Learning Reps (ULRs) are, information on how to become a ULR, as well as a range of information for ULRs and Branches.

I am in the lucky position of working across all the businesses that the union represents, and it is interesting to see how much we all have in common. Learning is one of those things. The old s ayings "You learn something new everyday!" and "You're never too old to learn!" are right, so come on and get involved!
